Free Letter O Coloring Page Printable for Preschool

This free letter O coloring page was a fun way for my son to connect the shape of the letter with words he already knew.

The worksheet has a big uppercase O to color, along with pictures like an owl, ostrich, ox, ornaments, and an orchard.

It works well as a quiet activity at home or as part of preschool and kindergarten lessons, helping kids practice letter recognition, phonics, and fine motor skills at the same time.

Make learning the alphabet fun with this free letter O coloring page. Kids can color an owl, ostrich, ornaments, an ox, and an orchard while practicing letter recognition and phonics. Perfect for preschool and kindergarten classrooms or homeschool.

Letter O Books for Preschoolers

When we were learning the letter O, I found that pairing a simple coloring page with a good story made everything stick. Books bring the words to life and give kids another way to connect the sound of O with something fun and familiar. Here are a few that worked really well in our home:

Owl Babies โ€“ Sarah, Percy, and Bill wait for their mother to return in this gentle, reassuring story. My son loved the repetition and it opened up easy conversations about feelings and family.

You might also like our O is for octopus handprint art for another O-themed activity.

Olivia โ€“ The adventures of Olivia the pig are full of energy and imagination. Itโ€™s a great pick for encouraging creativity and showing kids that itโ€™s okay to be bold and curious.

Otis โ€“ This story about a friendly tractor who helps his farm friends is always a hit. Itโ€™s a sweet way to talk about kindness, bravery, and being there for others.
