What’s Included in the Halloween Letter Worksheets
These alphabet worksheets include 26 pages, one for every letter from A to Z.
Each Halloween alphabet worksheet gives preschoolers several ways to practice uppercase and lowercase letters, including coloring, tracing, finding, writing, and cut-and-paste activities.
They’re free to print for personal or classroom use. Just scroll to the bottom of this post and enter your email to access the full set.

Halloween Letter Tracing and Writing Practice
The tracing and writing sections give kids a chance to practice each letter before writing it independently. These fall alphabet printables work well for letter-of-the-week lessons, literacy centers, or extra handwriting practice during October.

Each worksheet includes:
- Uppercase and lowercase letters to color
- Letter tracing for handwriting practice
- A letter search activity to build letter recognition (we like using dot markers)
- Guided boxes for writing the letter independently
- A cut-and-paste activity for matching the correct letters

I usually trim the letter tiles with a paper cutter first, then let my son use child-safe scissors for the rest. It adds some extra fine motor and scissor practice without needing another activity.

Best Halloween Alphabet Books
Pairing the worksheets with an alphabet book is an easy way to reinforce the letters kids have been tracing and writing. Here are a few of our favorite Halloween books for preschoolers:
H is for Halloween pairs each letter with a Halloween-themed illustration. My son loved guessing what came next and spotting letters he’d just practiced on the worksheets.
Halloween ABC takes kids through the alphabet with Halloween characters and themes, making it a fun read-aloud to use alongside letter practice.
Halloween ABC (Little Golden Book) uses a simple ABC format that’s especially suitable for younger kids who are still learning to recognize their letters.
