Free Elf on the Shelf Printable Games (Elf Sized)

Elf on the Shelf printable games are one of my favorite ways to keep the holiday magic going without adding extra stress.

These mini activities are quick to prep and always get a laugh when the kids discover what the elf was “playing” overnight.

It’s a simple trick that turns a regular morning into something festive and fun, no elaborate setup needed.

Set the Scene with Mini Elf Games

As December fills up with to-dos, it’s easy to run out of steam for nightly elf antics. That’s where these free printable games come in, they’re quick, playful, and take almost no time to set up.

Just pose your elf with a tiny game board to make it look like they’ve been playing overnight.

Then leave out the kid-sized version so your child can join the fun in the morning. It’s an easy way to stretch the magic across five days without overthinking it.

Christmas Bingo

A holiday classic gets a playful twist with Christmas bingo. Use the elf-sized card to stage a nighttime game scene, then let the kids start their day with the full version. It’s simple, festive, and always brings a smile.

Elf Sized Scattergories

This mini version of Christmas scattergories brings out some of the funniest answers. We set it up with the elf holding the tiny card, and my son loves trying the big version right after breakfast. A great way to sneak in a little creativity and laughter.

Elf on the Shelf Word Search

Your elf can show off their word-finding skills with a mini puzzle. Just tuck the tiny sheet under their arm or prop it up nearby. Then hand over the full-sized Elf on the Shelf word search for your kids to enjoy, perfect for a calm, festive moment during a busy day.

Elf on the Shelf Word Scramble

Set up a playful scene with the elf working through a holiday word scramble. The mini version adds a cute touch, while the full version gives the kids something fun (and secretly educational) to do. My son always races to solve his faster than the elf.

Elf Matching Game

Elf memory games are a favorite in our house, and this elf-sized version makes it even better. Flip the mini cards face down as if your elf’s mid-game, and let your child jump in with the regular-size set. It’s great for building focus, and for sharing a quiet laugh together.

More Ways to Make Elf Mornings Easy and Fun

If your Elf is sticking around all December, having a few extra tricks ready can make mornings feel magical without any stress.
