When to Use I Spy Worksheets

I’ve used these preschool worksheets in lots of different ways over the years. They’re especially useful when you need a quick, no-prep activity that kids can complete independently.

  • Keep a few printed copies in the car for road trips.
  • Take them on airplanes or to appointments for a screen-free activity.
  • Add them to morning work, learning centers, or early finisher tubs.
  • Pair them with seasonal or holiday lessons.
  • Use them for quiet-time activities at home.
  • Laminate favorite pages and reuse them with dry-erase markers.

For preschool and kindergarten, kids can simply find, count, and color the pictures. Older kids can make the activity more challenging by setting a timer or comparing the number of different objects they find.
