Free Halloween Escape Room Printable
This free Halloween escape room printable was such a hit with my son and his friends that they asked to do it again the next day.
Designed with older kids and teens in mind, the game includes rhyming clues, math puzzles, and a Caesar cipher that lead players around the house as they solve their way to the final prize.
We kept the setup simple: print the clues, hide them in the correct spots, and let the kids work together to solve each Halloween puzzle.

What’s Included in the Halloween Escape Room
This printable Halloween escape room combines puzzles, riddles, and hidden clues to create a scavenger hunt-style game for older kids and teens.
Players work through a series of challenges, including:
- Math puzzles – Solve simple algebra equations to discover where the next clue is hidden.
- Caesar cipher – Decode a secret message using a shift of 2.
- Rhyming riddles – Follow Halloween-themed clues to locations around the house.
- Hidden clues – Search everyday spots such as behind a mirror, under a chair, and between books.
Each puzzle leads to the next clue until players reach the final prize. It works well at home, for a Halloween party, or as a classroom activity.

How to Set Up the Spooky Escape Room
Setting up this printable Halloween escape room is quick and doesn’t require any special props.
- Print the clues – Print all of the escape room pages. Regular paper works fine, or use cardstock if you want the clues to be sturdier.
- Hide the clues – Follow the riddles to place each clue in the correct location, such as behind a mirror, under a chair, or between books.
- Prepare the final prize – Hide Halloween candy, a small gift, or another surprise at the end of the game.
- Start the escape room – Give players the first clue and let them work through the puzzles in order until they reach the final prize.

If you’re playing with a group, kids can work together to solve the math problems, riddles, and cipher.
