Halloween Patterns Worksheet
This Halloween patterns worksheet is a fun way for preschool and kindergarten kids to practice recognizing and completing repeating patterns.
The printable includes five Halloween picture patterns featuring mummies, witches, zombies, Frankenstein, and other spooky characters. Kids work out what comes next, then cut and paste the correct picture into the empty box.
There are two versions included, one in color and one in black and white, so kids can color the characters before completing the activity. Along with early math and pattern recognition, they’ll also get some extra cutting and fine motor practice.

How to Use the Halloween Pattern Activity
This Halloween pattern activity feels more like a puzzle than a worksheet, with kids figuring out which spooky character comes next in each repeating sequence.
There are five different picture patterns to complete, featuring Frankenstein, mummies, witches, zombies, and devils. Kids identify the pattern, then cut out the correct character from the bottom of the page and paste it into the empty box.
Here’s a look at some of the patterns included:

The activity comes in both color and black and white versions. The black-and-white page gives kids the option to color the Halloween characters before cutting them out and completing the patterns.
As well as practicing pattern recognition and early math skills, kids work on cutting, pasting, fine motor skills, and visual attention. It works well as a preschool or kindergarten math center, Halloween classroom activity, or simple quiet-time activity.
