6 Free Printable Valentine’s Day Bookmarks to Color

Valentine’s Day bookmarks are such a simple way to add a bit of February fun to reading time, and these free printable versions have been a favorite in our house for years.

My son has always enjoyed coloring them in and handing them out to friends, and it’s one of those easy Valentine projects that works for a wide range of ages.

The designs are sweet, quick to color, and make great little gifts for classrooms, libraries, or just to tuck into a new book at home.

What’s Inside the Free Valentine’s Day Bookmark Set

This printable set includes six bookmarks to color, each with its own design, hearts, roses, teddy bears, stacks of books, and a few sweet reading-themed messages.

The pages print three to a sheet, and each bookmark measures 2.5 x 8.5 inches, a good size for kids to color with crayons, markers, or gel pens.

Printable Valentine's Day bookmarks in black and white laid out for cutting, featuring heart designs, lovebirds, roses, books, and sweet phrases like “In my book you’re the happy ending” and “Happy Valentine’s Day.” A paper trimmer is positioned underneath, ready to slice the bookmarks apart. Perfect for coloring and gifting.

For the best finish, I usually print on card stock so the colors stay bright and the bookmarks feel sturdier.

A paper cutter gives you cleaner edges, but scissors work perfectly well too.

Laminating the finished bookmarks (or using clear packing tape in a pinch) makes them last longer, especially if your kids like using the same one all month.

They work well as classroom gifts, quick Valentine handouts, or simple February reading incentives.

You can leave them blank for kids to color as they receive them or add a ribbon at the top for a more polished look.

A red book titled The Biggest Valentine Ever by Steven Kroll with illustrations by Jeni Bassett sits below a colorful Valentine’s Day bookmark that says “Happy Valentine’s Day” with blue birds and hearts. Purple and pink beaded necklaces frame the image on each side.
