How the Christopher Columbus Timeline Activity Works
This four-page printable combines coloring with a hands-on timeline activity, helping kids learn about Christopher Columbus’s first voyage in a fun and memorable way. The set includes six illustrations to color, timeline cards, and a bonus explorer-themed coloring page.

Start by coloring the six pictures featuring Christopher Columbus, King Ferdinand, Queen Isabella, two sailing ships, and palm trees.

Next, cut out both the illustrations and the timeline cards. Kids can color the timeline cards too before matching each event to the correct picture.

Once everything is ready, arrange the timeline in chronological order, beginning with Columbus setting sail in August 1492.

Along the way, kids will learn about the Niña, Pinta, and Santa MarÃa, the support of King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella, and Columbus’s arrival in the Bahamas on October 12, 1492.

The final page includes a bonus coloring page with a globe, telescope, anchor, treasure, and palm tree.
