Memorial Day Word Search The Kids Will Love (free printable)

Memorial Day is a federal holiday and is always celebrated on the last Monday of May. I have created this Memorial Day word search free printable for you to download and enjoy with the kids.

This patriotic printable is a great word game to play either in May or any time during the year.

Memorial Day is different from Remembrance Day (or Veterans Day) as it is a day where we remember those who died and made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Veterans Day is a day celebrated around the World on November 11th to thank and honor ALL who served regardless of whether they died or survived.

Memorial Day word search puzzle

Word search printables are excellent for when the kids just need a break.

The words can be found, horizontally, vertically, diagonally, frontwards, or backward! Just to make it that much harder!

I have also added some black and white Memorial Day-themed images for the kids to color in too! Perfect if the kids find the words too quickly! I have also added the answer sheet, some of the words are a little tricky to find!

Tip: I recommend either using a highlighter pen or circling around the letters. Do not cross the letters out if you have found a word, as it may be used in another word!
