Preparing Your Free Printable Thanksgiving Bingo Cards

To get started, print the five free printable bingo boards (5×5) along with the set of calling images.

I usually use cardstock so the cards last longer, but regular printer paper works too if you’re short on time.

If you want to reuse the game year after year, laminating the boards and calling cards is worth the extra step. A paper trimmer makes cutting faster, though scissors work just fine, just be sure to only cut the small calling pieces, not the bingo boards themselves.

Once the calling cards are ready, place them into a bowl, basket, or even a festive cornucopia for a fun holiday touch.

Now you’ve got everything prepared for an easy, low-prep Thanksgiving bingo game that works in the classroom, homeschool, or around the family table.

How to play

Hand each player a bingo card and give them something to use as dot markers, candy corn, buttons, or coins all work well.

Choose one person to be the caller, who will draw a card from the bowl and announce the picture, such as “Pumpkin” or “Turkey.”

Players check their boards and mark the matching space if they have it. The goal is to be the first to complete a row, column, or diagonal. When someone gets a line, they shout “Bingo!” and the group pauses to check the card.

To keep the game moving, rotate callers each round so everyone has a chance. Adding small prizes, stickers, extra dessert, or a Thanksgiving trinket, makes it even more exciting.
