Free Fall Scavenger Hunt Printable For Kids
This fall scavenger hunt printable is one of those activities we end up reusing every year, just because it’s so easy and actually gets used.
I keep a laminated copy in the car with a dry-erase marker, and anytime we’re out, at the farmer’s market, on a weekend drive, or walking the dog, it turns into a quick fall-themed challenge.
It’s simple, visual, and works well across ages without needing to explain much. Just hand it over, and kids start noticing everything from squirrels to scarecrows.

Easy Autumn Activity for All Ages
This printable fall scavenger hunt includes 15 autumn-themed items that are easy to spot on a walk, trip to the park, or visit to a pumpkin patch.
It’s designed to get kids looking closely at their surroundings, and it works well for a mix of ages.
Here’s what they’ll be hunting for:
- Scarecrow
- Cornucopia
- Owl
- Tree with no leaves
- Red leaf
- Squirrel
- Person sweeping leaves
- 3 pumpkins together
- A cart or wheelbarrow
- Fall bunting
- Acorn
- Fall sign
- A black bird
- Fallen leaves
- Pumpkin
We’ve used this during weekend hikes, neighborhood strolls, and even in the backyard.
If you want to reuse it throughout the season, laminating the sheet and keeping it in the car with a dry-erase marker makes it easy to pull out anytime.
A storage clipboard works well for holding the printable and a pen or marker, especially if you’re doing this on the go.
Although it’s simple enough for early elementary kids, older siblings usually jump in too, especially if you turn it into a timed challenge or team game.
