Football Printables & Activities
Football printables and activities are an easy way to bring a little extra fun into football season, whether you’re using them in the classroom, at home, or during the big game.
I’ve gathered all of my football-themed activities in one place, including word searches, puzzles, trivia, writing activities, and coloring pages. There are also several Super Bowl printables that work well for parties or for keeping kids entertained while everyone else is watching the game.
Most of these activities are free and require very little prep, so you can simply print the ones that suit your kids and get started.

Football-Themed Learning and Games
There’s a good mix here for different ages and interests, from football trivia and word games to puzzles, writing activities, and coloring pages. They’re easy to use for a sports-themed lesson, early finisher activity, indoor recess, or some screen-free fun during football season.

If your kids want to know more about the game beyond the printables, a good football book can help with everything from understanding the rules to discovering NFL players, records, and statistics. These are three I’d pair with the activities above.
The Everything Kids’ Football Book is a good all-round choice for kids who want to understand football rather than just read facts about it. It covers how to play, well-known players and teams, and also includes games and puzzles.
It’s a Numbers Game! Football is a particularly good fit if you want to sneak some math into a football theme. It explores the numbers and statistics behind the sport, including scores, records, and some of football’s most interesting stats.
My First Book of Football is the one I’d choose for younger football fans. It uses an NFL game to introduce how football works, making the rules and action easier to follow for kids who are still learning the sport.
