How to play Super Bowl scattergories
Playing Super Bowl scattergories is not only fun but also incredibly simple, making it perfect for your Super Bowl party.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to play and enjoy this exciting game:
First, print out the Scattergories boards. Remember, there are four different boards with the letters GAME, TEAM, BOWL, and GOAL.
Each player or team gets a board and a pen or pencil.
Set a timer. Typically, rounds are 2-3 minutes, but you can adjust this based on your group’s preference.
When the timer starts, each player or team begins writing down a word or phrase that fits each category and starts with the letter of that board (G for GAME, T for TEAM, etc.).
The challenge is to come up with unique answers. For instance, for the letter G and the category ‘Football Team,’ “Giants” could be a valid answer.
Once the time is up, players compare their answers. If two or more players have the same answer for a category, neither gets points for that answer.
Unique answers earn one point each.
Play as many rounds as you like, switching boards each time to keep the game fresh and challenging.
After the final round, tally up the points. The player or team with the most points wins!
