How to play Presidents Day bingo

Playing Presidents’ Day Bingo is a fun and educational way to engage with the history of U.S. Presidents. It’s similar to traditional bingo, but with a presidential twist. Here’s how to set it up and play:

Materials needed:

  • Each participant needs a bingo card, scroll to the end of the page to download 5 unique cards.
  • A calling card that will download with the free printable, and it contains the names and faces of the 24 Presidents featured in the game.
  • Bingo markers, can be anything small to place on the bingo cards, like coins, beans, or paper clips.
  • To make the game more exciting, you can have small prizes for the winners.


  1. Print one bingo card per player and one set of calling cards. Laminating them can make them reusable.
  2. Cut out the calling cards so you can draw them randomly.
  3. Give each player a bingo card and some markers.

How to play President bingo:

  1. The game leader (or caller) randomly selects a calling card and announces the President shown. They can either call the President by name or they can describe the picture.
  2. If the called President is on a player’s card, they place a marker on that square.
  3. The caller continues drawing and calling out Presidents.
  4. The first player to get five marked squares in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) shouts “Bingo!” and wins the game. You can check their card to ensure it’s a valid win. Remind students that they can use the free space to help.
  5. For a longer game, you can play for different patterns, like an ‘X,’ a box, or blackout (covering all squares).

Educational twist:

  • As each President is called, you can provide a brief fact about them, turning the game into a fun learning session.
  • Before marking their card, players could be required to say one fact about the President or answer a quick question related to them.
