Free Printable Grandparents Day Activities

When my son was younger, he loved making things for his grandparents, especially handprint crafts and those funny All About worksheets where you never quite know what answer you’re going to get.

I’ve included several different Grandparents Day activities in this collection, so kids can choose between painting, coloring, drawing, and writing. Some take only a few minutes, while the handprint crafts make lovely keepsakes that grandparents can save.

All of the printables are formatted for standard 8.5 x 11-inch paper. Regular printer paper works well for the worksheets and coloring pages, while I prefer cardstock for the handprint and footprint crafts because it holds up better to paint.

Grandparents Day Handprint Craft

These Grandparents Day handprint craft printables turn painted hands or feet into easy keepsakes for Grandma and Grandpa. There are two designs included, and both can be printed on cardstock before adding the paint.

For the Grandma craft, we usually use footprints to complete the design, although handprints work too. Add your child’s name and the year before giving it to Grandma so she can keep it as a reminder of how little they once were.

The My Grandpa Rocks printable turns a painted handprint into a guitar. Paint your child’s hand, press it onto the page with the fingers pointing downward, and leave it to dry before adding any extra coloring or decoration.
