Printable Money Matching Games
These free printable money-matching games are super easy to play.
Supplies needed:
- cardstock (normal paper will work, but you might be able to see the images through it)
- paper cutter or scissors
- laminator (optional)
How to download the printable money games
Download the money memory game printable below. There are two pages included with 24 different images and they will print out in portrait. Make sure to check the printer settings.
This free printable money game is free to print but is for personal or classroom use only. Scroll to the bottom of the page to get the pdf file.
There are two fun ways you can play this money-matching game.
You are also going to love our favorite money board games for kids of all ages.
Match the Money Game
The first game is the easier game.
Print out 2 copies of both sheets, (or just 2 copies of the game you prefer).
The children can also make colorful designs on the reverse.
If you are going to laminate them make sure you do this before you start cutting.
When you have printed the 2 pages, you will need to cut out all of the different images.
I prefer to use a paper cutter as it’s easier, quicker, and more accurate, but scissors will work too.
Now you will have two sets of 12 images (so 24 total images.)
Shuffle them up and lay them on the table face down in rows to make it easier, or just randomly on the table for older kids.
If you are placing them in rows I find 4 rows with 6 images each works best for the memory game.
Playing the game is simple.
Take it in turn to turn over only 2 images.
If it is a match you can either remove them from the game and place them in front of you or leave them turned over face up.
If it is not a pair then just return the cards face down. Continue playing until all pairs have been matched.
The winner is the person who creates the most matches.

Match the Money to the Shopping Game
The second game is slightly harder.
Print out the 2 worksheets, you only need to print them once.
If you are going to laminate them make sure you do this before you start cutting.
When you have printed the 2 pages, you will need to cut out all of the different images.
I prefer to use a paper cutter as it’s easier, quicker, and more accurate, but scissors will work too.

Shuffle them up and lay them on the table face down in rows to make it easier, or just randomly on the table for older kids.
If you are placing them in rows I find 4 rows with 6 images each works best for the memory game.
Playing the game is slightly harder, as you have to match the image of the money to the correct value item. For example, match the $100 bill with the $100 car.
This is a great way to add some math into the fun and teach kids all about counting money.
Take it, in turn, to turn over only 2 images.
If it is a match you can either remove them from the game and place them in front of you or leave them turned over face up.
If it is not a matching pair just turn it back over. Continue playing until you have matched all 12 pairs.
The winner is the person who creates the most matches.
Or you can play a mix of the 2 money games.
