The Nutcracker ballet by Tchaikovsky just makes me smile. It was the first ballet I went to watch at the theatre, and has now inspired my love of nutcrackers. The kids are going to love our free Nutcracker ballet coloring pages this Christmas.

The Adventures of Clara and her Brave Nutcracker is a classic Christmas tale. About a young girl named Clara who receives a special Nutcracker as a gift.

On Christmas Eve, her Nutcracker comes to life and helps her defeat the evil Mouse King with her ballerina skills.

After their victory, Clara and the Nutcracker embark on a magical journey to the Land of Sweets. Where they are greeted by the Sugar Plum Fairy and witness a grand celebration.

The story is a heartwarming tale about bravery, friendship, and the power of imagination.

The ballet the Nutcracker was loosely based on this book written by ETA Hoffman in 1816.

But there have been many children’s books written since and the Story of the Nutcracker Ballet is probably my favorite. This will make a great read-aloud this December.
