Free Halloween Activity Placemats for Table Fun

Free Halloween activity placemats have become one of my go-to solutions for keeping things calm and fun during the busiest moments of Halloween.

Whether I’m finishing up dinner or trying to get the kitchen back in order, these free printable activity placemats give my son something festive to focus on, without needing screens or extra prep.

Each placemat mixes puzzles, coloring, and games, which means they feel like play but sneak in a little learning, too.

They’ve worked well for parties, family dinners, and even quiet mornings in October.

Halloween Table Placemats

Free Halloween activity placemats have become one of my favorite ways to keep things calm and festive during busy October evenings.

I’ve used them during dinner prep, at Halloween parties, and even for quiet mornings when we’re easing into the day. Just print, set them out with crayons or markers, and let the kids dive in.

Each of the four placemats has a mix of engaging activities, some say Happy Halloween at the top, others say Spooky Halloween!, but all of them are filled with things to color and puzzles to solve.

A Halloween-themed kids’ placemat is set on a sparkly silver charger plate with a fork and knife on either side. The placemat features fun activities like a witch hat maze, a word scramble, and a cauldron to color, with the title “Spooky Halloween!” at the top. It’s partially colored with green, purple, and black markers. The setup is decorated with crisscrossed yellow “Zombie” tape splattered with red and a black glittery spider in the center.

There’s plenty of space for coloring, along with tic tac toe grids for friendly competition. The Halloween word scrambles are simple but fun, and great for building vocabulary.

My son always goes straight for the Halloween dot to dot puzzles, which reveal little surprises once finished.

A festive Halloween kids’ placemat featuring activities like mazes, word scramble, and connect-the-dots is placed on a glittery silver charger plate with a fork and knife. The placemat is partially colored and titled “Spooky Halloween!” in bold purple and green text. Characters in monster, devil, and wizard costumes are featured. The setup includes a black "Horror Zone" banner with green letters and skull graphics across the top.

You’ll also find mazes on every sheet, and two of the placemats include beginner sudoku puzzles, a fun way to sneak in a little logic practice without it feeling like schoolwork.

These placemats are easy to print and work best on cardstock if you want them to hold up through a meal or group activity. We’ve also used dual-tipped markers to help keep the coloring neat and vibrant.

If you’re looking for a low-prep way to keep kids busy and engaged this Halloween, this set has worked really well for us.
