Free Letter K Coloring Page for Preschoolers

This letter K coloring page gave us a quiet break in the middle of a busy day.

Instead of jumping into another worksheet, we used it to talk about each K word, what a kilt is, why a kite flies, and how a key works.

It turned into a nice mix of conversation and coloring, without needing more than a few crayons and a bit of time.

Letter K Coloring Sheet

This letter K coloring page is an easy and fun way to introduce preschoolers to the letter K and a few simple K words.

The page features a bold uppercase K surrounded by five images that all begin with the letter: kite, kangaroo, key, kiss, and kilt.

Each image is clear and recognizable, giving young kids a chance to connect the letter sound to familiar objects as they color. It’s a great way to reinforce phonics without needing a full lesson or extra prep.

You can print the page on regular paper, but we’ve found it holds up better on cardstock, especially if your kids like to use markers or layer on the color. The variety of images gives them lots to work with, and it’s a good chance to talk through each word while they color.

Whether you’re using it during letter of the week activities, as part of a quiet time routine, or just looking for something creative and educational, this coloring sheet offers a quick and meaningful way to build early literacy skills.

You’ll find the printable PDF at the bottom of this post, free for personal or classroom use.
