Free 12 Days of Christmas Coloring Pages
These 12 Days of Christmas coloring pages started as a quick activity for my son one afternoon and turned into a little December tradition we return to every year.
Each page features a festive illustration and a matching lyric from the classic carol.
Some years we’ve used them as a countdown (one page a day), other times we’ve colored the whole set while listening to the song on repeat.
It’s an easy way to mix reading, number recognition, and a bit of calm during the holiday chaos, all with zero prep.

What’s Inside the 12 Days of Christmas Coloring Sheets
Each page in this printable set features one of the twelve classic gifts, starting with a partridge in a pear tree and ending with twelve drummers drumming, alongside bold, easy-to-read text and simple illustrations perfect for young kids.
Whether your child is already familiar with the song or learning it for the first time, these free coloring pages are a fun way to connect numbers, reading, and holiday cheer. We’ve even used them as a countdown, one page each day leading up to Christmas Eve.
Just print the pages (there are 13 in total, including a summary sheet). We like using cardstock so markers don’t bleed through, and it makes them sturdy enough to hang up or use as part of an Advent display.
Here’s a quick look at all 12 verses included in the coloring set:
On the 1st day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a partridge in a pear tree.
On the 2nd day of Christmas, my true love gave to me two turtle doves.
On the 3rd day of Christmas, my true love gave to me three French hens.
On the 4th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me four calling birds.
On the 5th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me five gold rings.
On the 6th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me six geese a laying.
On the 7th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me seven swans a swimming.
On the 8th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me eight maids a milking.
On the 9th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me nine ladies dancing.
On the 10th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me ten lords a leaping.
On the 11th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me eleven pipers piping.
On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me twelve drummers drumming.

12 Days of Christmas (The Christmas Choir) – A lovely illustrated version of the traditional carol. The sing-along format makes it easy to follow, and it pairs perfectly with the coloring pages if you’re introducing the song for the first time.
Twelve Days of Christmas – A classic, beautifully illustrated take on the original lyrics. It’s calm and cozy, perfect for bedtime reading or singing along quietly while kids color.
