If I Were an Astronaut Worksheet
This If I Were an Astronaut worksheet is a fun creative writing activity for elementary students learning about space. Kids can imagine what life as an astronaut would be like, from what they would take into space to the planet they would most like to visit.
We used this during our space unit, and it gave my son plenty to write about while also starting some great science discussions. The printable is easy to use with no prep, just print, write, and color.

The prompt encourages kids to fill in short responses to questions like:

There’s space to color in the astronaut, rocket, and other illustrations too. My son always spends as much time coloring as he does writing, which works well for keeping things relaxed.
If I Were an Astronaut Writing Ideas
Kids who aren’t sure what to write can imagine a full day in space. They might describe blasting off in a rocket, floating without gravity, looking down at Earth, visiting another planet, eating space food, or completing an important mission.
