Free Printable Christmas Cards to Color For Adults & Teens
I’ve always loved the idea of sending handmade Christmas cards, but most coloring ones feel either too childish or overly complicated.
These Christmas cards to color for adults hit a nice balance, detailed enough to be relaxing, but still quick to finish when December gets hectic.
They’ve become part of my own quiet routine, usually with a cup of tea and a podcast going.
Even my teen son joins in now, he colors a few to include with his gifts, which makes it feel like something we both enjoy, just in our own way.

Christmas Coloring Cards for Teens & Adults
This free set includes 11 printable Christmas cards to color, each with a different festive design, some simple, some more detailed.
They’re best suited for older kids (around age 10+) and adults who enjoy mindful coloring with a holiday twist.
We’ve been using our favorite dual-tipped pens to color these in, 72 colors, and they’ve lasted months despite regular use.
My teen likes the cleaner designs like the presents and hats, while I gravitate toward the more intricate ornaments and the candle.
Here’s what’s included:
- Detailed Christmas ornament
- Simple Christmas ornament
- Reindeer
- Christmas tree
- Christmas stocking
- Santas present sack
- Christmas present
- Winter Hat
- Santa Hat
- Candle
- Simple Christmas stocking
You can print just the designs you like most, or the whole set.
How to Print These Christmas Coloring Cards
To get started, grab the free printable PDF at the bottom of the post. Be sure to set your printer to portrait orientation and use US letter-sized paper for best results.
While regular printer paper works fine, we usually go with cardstock to make the cards feel sturdier and more gift-worthy. This is the cardstock we use, it’s a good weight and holds up well to coloring pens, paint, and markers.
Once you’ve colored your cards, you can either write inside or use one of the four free printable card inserts I’ve included in the download.
Just print the inserts on regular paper or colored card stock, cut them out, and glue them inside your finished cards.
Need envelopes? These fit perfectly and work with both folded and flat card formats.
More Christmas Activities for Teens
If you’re looking for more ways to keep older kids engaged during the holidays, here are a few tried-and-true favorites my teen actually enjoys:

- Advent activities for teens
- Christmas thank you cards
- Christmas scattergories
They’re all low-prep and easy to fit into a busy December schedule, perfect for family time or independent fun.
