Crafting and personalization ideas
- After coloring, encourage kids to enhance the cards by adding tactile elements like glitter, sequins, or fabric scraps to create textured and eye-catching designs. Using cotton balls for snow, ribbons for wreaths, or small beads for ornaments can add depth and interest to the cards.
- Encourage the use of collage techniques by cutting out holiday-themed images from magazines or old wrapping paper to create unique designs on the cards. Incorporating various materials like cloth, buttons, or yarn can add layers and complexity to their artwork.
- Prompt children to add personalized touches by drawing specific things the recipient loves or enjoys, ensuring each card is unique. Encourage them to include heartfelt messages, favorite quotes, or shared memories inside the cards, making the cards more sentimental and special for the recipient.
When the children have designed their Christmas cards, add them to an envelope and hand them out to friends and family.
