Free Christmas in Germany Coloring Pages For Kids
These Christmas in Germany coloring pages have been one of our favorite ways to bring cultural learning into December.
We like to pause our regular lessons this time of year and focus on how Christmas is celebrated around the world.
Germany is always a highlight, my son was fascinated by Saint Nicholas Day and the idea of leaving shoes out for treats.
The printable pages include simple facts and illustrations that make the traditions feel real and easy to talk about. They’re a low-prep way to combine coloring, storytelling, and holiday learning in one activity.

German Christmas Coloring Pages
In this Christmas in Germany story, we meet Max, a little boy who loves the holidays.
As Christmas approaches, his family lights the candles on their Advent wreath and bakes traditional treats like stollen.
Max looks forward to December 6th, when he leaves his clean shoes outside his door for Saint Nicholas Day, hoping for small gifts and sweets.
The story also introduces Christkind, the golden-haired angel who brings presents on Christmas Eve.
That night, Max opens his gifts, sings carols with his family, and ends the evening feeling full of joy. It’s a gentle way to celebrate tradition, family, and the spirit of the season.
Looking for a read-aloud? The Legend of Saint Nicholas is a beautiful picture book that helps explain the story in a kid-friendly way.
