6 Free Thanksgiving Handprint Templates
Thanksgiving will be here before we know it. It is one of our favorite times of the year to bring out the paint and get creative. Download our 6 free Thanksgiving handprint templates below and create some wonderful keepsakes this November.
These Thanksgiving activities for kids are such a lovely way to get messy with the kids while creating happy memories.

Handprint crafts for Thanksgiving
You probably have all of the supplies to make these fun little Thanksgiving handprints.
These free printable Thanksgiving handprint craft templates are free to print but are for personal use and classroom use only. Scroll to the bottom of this post to get the pdf file.
Craft supplies needed:
- cardstock
- washable paints (these are the ones we use for all of our handprint art)
- paintbrush
- googly wiggle eyes (Optional)
- Wipes!! It helps to have these handy so you don’t make a complete mess of your table!
Directions:
Print out the templates below, they will print out on six full pages. They will print in portrait on 8.5″ x 11″ paper, so make sure to check the printer settings.
You can of course print this on normal printer paper, but with all of our crafts, they always look better on cardstock.
This little turkey is thankful for you!
The first Thanksgiving handprint is this little turkey is thankful for you, and it will look like this:
Grab the supplies above and get creating!
Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use. We opted for the traditional brown for our handprint turkey.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place their hand upward from the turkey’s body. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull the child’s hand up carefully making sure you don’t smudge the handprint.
Let it dry completely before adding googly eyes to the turkey if you want to.
Turkey Handprint Template
The second Thanksgiving handprint is this super colorful turkey, and it will look like this:
Grab the supplies above and get creating!
Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use. We opted for a mixture of brown, red, and yellow for our turkey. If you have multiple children you could get them all to add their hands in a different color.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place their hand upward from the turkey’s body. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull the child’s hand up carefully making sure you don’t smudge the handprint.
Let it dry completely before adding googly eyes to the turkey if you want to.
Happy Fall Y’all Handprint
The third Thanksgiving handprint is Happy Fall Y’all with 2 colorful handprints, and it will look like this:

Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use. We opted for an orange and red handprint. If you have multiple children you could get them all to add their hands in a different color.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place their hand upwards on the page. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.

Hello Fall Handprint
The next Thanksgiving handprint is Happy Fall with 2 colorful handprints, and it will look like this:

Let the kids decide what color handprints they want to use. We opted for an orange and red handprint. If you have multiple children you could get them all to add their hands in a different color.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Cover their hand with paint and place one of their hands upwards at the top of the yellow leaf, and the second hand points downwards under the orange leaf. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull the child’s hand up carefully making sure you don’t smudge the handprint.
Grateful Tree Handprint
The next Thanksgiving handprint is the grateful tree with 1 colorful handprint, and it will look like this:

My First Thanksgiving Handprint
The last Thanksgiving handprint will make a wonderful keepsake and is for my first Thanksgiving, and it will look like this:

Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hands. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
