Letter A handprint art
This is such an easy and fun handprint craft and a great way to learn the letter A.
Kids love getting their hands covered in paint, and I have to admit I love it too! It’s so much fun allowing the kids to be creative while learning.
This free printable letter a handprint template is free to print but is for personal or classroom use only. Scroll to the bottom of the page to get the PDF file.
Supplies needed
- cardstock
- washable paints
- paintbrush
- wipes!! It helps to have these handy so you don’t make a complete mess of your table!
How to use
Print out the template below, it will print out on one full page. Make sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it in your emails within 5 minutes.
You can of course print this on normal printer paper, but with all of our crafts, they always look better on cardstock.
Let the kids decide what color handprint they want to use, we have chosen red for our apple.
Use a small paintbrush to add a thin layer of paint to their hand. Make sure you have the wipes handy!!
Place their hand with their fingers pointing to the bottom of the paper, with their palm just under the core of the apple. Press down all along their hand to make sure the handprint transfers fully.
Pull your child’s hand off really gently to avoid any smudges.
Let the paint dry completely before coloring in the letter A and the leaf of the apple.
