Free Christmas Scattergories Printable Game
Christmas Scattergories is one of those games we come back to year after year.
It started as a fun way to sneak in some learning during our homeschool days, but now itโs part of our holiday traditions.
I created these printable holiday Scattergories boards so we could play without needing the official game, and theyโve been a hit with friends and family ever since.
With festive category lists and ready-to-go letter boards, itโs an easy, no-prep activity that gets everyone laughing and thinking.
Whether you’re homeschooling, hosting a party, or just spending time together, this game brings the fun every time.

How to Play Christmas Scattergories (Without the Official Game)
If youโve never played Scattergories before, the goal is simple: come up with a word for each category that starts with the same letter, and try not to match anyone elseโs answer.
Itโs fast, funny, and way more competitive than you’d expect.
You donโt need the official Hasbro game to join in. Iโve included five printable boards with festive starting letters like TREE, SNOW, and GIFT, plus five themed category lists (and one blank one to create your own).
Just print one sheet per player and youโre ready to go, no dice required. Each board already includes a letter at the top, so you can skip that part and jump straight into the fun.
If you do have the original game, these Christmas Scattergories lists make a great extension pack.
Print out the category cards, grab your 20-sided die, and enjoy a holiday twist on the classic version.
