Thanksgiving Acrostic Poem Templates (4 Free Printables)

We’ve used a Thanksgiving acrostic poem template every year since my son was in preschool. It’s an easy, low-prep way to sneak in a little writing while talking about gratitude.

These free printables include four poem pages using the words THANKFUL or GRATEFUL.

They work well for classrooms, homeschool, or quiet time at the table during Thanksgiving week.

Just print, write one word or sentence per letter, and you’ve got a quick activity that blends literacy and holiday fun.

How to Use Acrostic Poem Templates

These acrostic poem templates offer a simple way to introduce kids to creative writing while capturing the spirit of fall.

Get the four printable options at the end of the post, three spell out “THANKFUL,” and one spells out “GRATEFUL.”

Kids can get creative by starting each line of their acrostic with the letters in the chosen word, adding color and personality to their finished work.

No need to rhyme, focus on alliteration, rhythm, or even a touch of humor to make each poem unique.

Your child’s acrostic poem can be as simple as one word per line, but encourage them to write as much as they’re comfortable with based on their age.
