How to Print the Father’s Day Coloring Cards?
Printing these Father’s Day coloring cards is super easy, and it’s one of those activities we come back to every year. You’ll find the PDF at the bottom of the post—just print, fold, and let the kids take it from there.
They’re set up for US letter-size paper (8.5″ x 11″) and look best printed in landscape. I usually choose “shrink to fit” just to make sure nothing gets cut off.
If you have cardstock, definitely use it—it gives the card a more finished look—but regular printer paper works too.
Once it’s printed, fold it in half so the cute image is on the front and the “Happy Father’s Day” or “No.1 Dad” message ends up on the back. We leave the inside blank so the kids can write or draw whatever they want.
My son always goes all in with the coloring—he loves using dual tipped coloring pens because he can do bold outlines and then fill everything in. It’s fun watching his card slowly come to life.
We pop the finished card into an A9 envelope, and it feels like a “real” card. Super simple, but so personal—and honestly, it’s always one of my favorite keepsakes from the day.
What to Write in a Father’s Day Card
Not sure what the kids should write inside their cards? Sometimes a little inspiration helps get the ideas flowing.
Here are some of our favorite lighthearted (and sweet) quotes that feel like something kids might actually say:
- “Hey Dad, you’re basically a superhero—just without the cape. Although, you’d look pretty cool in one. Thanks for always saving the day (and the snacks). Happy Father’s Day!”
- “You’re not just good at fixing stuff—you’re a genius! Somehow you turn cardboard into rocket ships and cereal boxes into robots. Life with you is always an adventure.”
- “To the best tickle monster ever—I never see it coming! You make me laugh until my belly hurts. Happy Father’s Day!”
- “Thanks for always being my dessert buddy. No one makes a milkshake like you, and I’ll never tell Mom how many scoops we used. Happy Father’s Day!”
- “Hey Pops! Whether we’re dancing like goofballs or building the tallest LEGO tower ever, you make everything more fun. Love you lots!”
