Educational Benefits of Playing Bingo

Bingo is an easy way to practice skills without making the activity feel like another lesson. Depending on the theme, kids can work on letter recognition, math skills, vocabulary, matching, and visual discrimination.

  • Reinforces learning – Educational games can be used to review letters, numbers, math, and new vocabulary.
  • Builds social skills – Playing in a group encourages listening, taking turns, and following directions.
  • Works with different ages – Younger kids can use picture-based cards, while older children can play with words, numbers, or more challenging themes.
  • Keeps learning screen-free – Printed cards give kids a simple hands-on activity at home or in the classroom.

We’ve used bingo for both learning and just-for-fun activities over the years, which is probably why I keep making new sets!

How to Use These Printable Bingo Cards

Each bingo game has its own printable PDF with six unique boards and a set of calling cards. Choose the theme you want from the list above, then follow the link to its individual page.

  1. Scroll to the form on the bingo page and enter your name and email address.
  2. Check your inbox for the free PDF. It usually arrives within 5 minutes.
  3. Print the bingo cards on regular paper or cardstock if you want them to last longer.
  4. Cut out the calling cards and use bingo markers, buttons, or small counters to cover each space as it’s called.

To play, give each child a different card and draw one calling card at a time. The first player to cover five spaces in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally calls BINGO!
